‘The Simpsons’ cross paths with ‘Futurama’ and ‘The Family Guy’ in Season 26

The most loved family of Springfield is returning to the small screen in end September and they are getting ready for some fun once again, with a host of celebrities, ‘The Family Guy’ and ‘Futurama’ cast crossing paths in Springfield and the death of an important character.

Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda will be voicing a Democrat assemblywoman who becomes the love interest of the evil nuclear power plant owner C. Montgomery Burns on The Simpsons, Fox announced recently.

The Simpsons will begin its 26th season on 28 September. Other guest voices this season will include Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, David Hyde Pierce, comedian Jeffrey Ross, musician Matthew Sweet and Willem Dafoe, as a teacher who bullies Bart.

The season will also include a crossover episode with Futurama, the onetime Fox animated comedy that was also created by The Simpsons’ Matt Groening. And, The Simpsons characters will appear in the 28 September season premiere of another Fox animated series, Family Guy.

Hank Azaria, who has won three Emmys for his voice work on The Simpsons, will voice the lead character on Bordertown, a new animated comedy set to premiere during the 2014-15 season.

And on Fox’s Bob’s Burgers, guest voice roles will be played by Carl Reiner, Kevin Kline, Megan Mullally, Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael Key.

The announcements came in connection with Fox’s presentations at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills.
